หัวเรื่อง:ไม่มีชื่อไทย (ชื่ออังกฤษ : Lectin Histochemistry of Glycoconjugates in Mandibular Gland of Chicken) ผู้เขียน:ดร.อภินันท์ สุประเสริฐ, ศาสตราจารย์, Surapong Arthitvong, ดร.เสรี กุญแจนาค, ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractThe distribution of glycoconjugates in the chicken mandibular gland was studied by means of light microscopic histochemical methods. The staining procedures employed were horseradish peroxidase conjugated lectin, Alcian blue pH 2.5-periodic acid-Schiff (AB pH 2.5-PAS), and high iron diamine-alcian blue pH 2.5 (HID-AB pH 2.5). The lectins used in the present study were Concanavalin A (Con A), Ricinus communis agglutinin-I (RCA-I), wheat germ agglutinin (WGA), Dolichos biflorus agglutinin (DBA), Ulex europeues agglutinin - I (UEA-I), Limax flavus agglutinin (LFA), Lotus tetragonolobus agglutinin (LTA) and peanut agglutinin (PNA). According to the results obtained, acidic and neutral glycoconjugates with ?-D-mannose, ?- D-glucase, ?-D-galactose, N-acetyl-D-glucasamine, ?-L-fucose and sialic acid residues were visualized in the secretory cells of chicken mandibular gland. |
หัวเรื่อง:ไม่มีชื่อไทย (ชื่ออังกฤษ : Pharmacokinetics of Enrofloxacin in Koi Carp (Cyprinus carpio) after Various Routes of Administration) ผู้เขียน:ดร.ปารียา อุดมกุศลศรี, รองศาสตราจารย์, Surapong Arthitvong, นฤมล กลางแก้ว, Napasorn Kusucharit สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractThe pharmacokinetics of enrofloxacin was studied in koi carp (Cyprinus carpio) after single administration by intraperitoneal (IP) and intramuscular (IM) injection, oral gavage (PO) at a dose of 10 mg/kg body weight and by 5 mg/liter bath for 5 hr at room temperature (27?C). Blood samples were obtained from caudal vein at 0, 15, 30, 60 min and 2, 8, 24, 48, 72 and 96 hr following administration. Serum antimicrobial concentrations were determined by microbioassay using Bacillus subtilis as an indicator organism where maximal concentrations (Cmax) of drug in plasma were 36.6 ? 21.3, 4.6 ? 2.4, 14.4 ? 7.7 and 0.9 ? 0.3 mg/L after IP, IM, PO and bath at 60, 60, 5 and 5 min, respectively. According to one-compartment pharmacokinetic model, elimination half-life ( T1 2 ) were 16.1, 17.9, 16.6 and 42.1 hr, volumes of distribution (Vd) were 0.3, 3.1, 1.5 and 10.4 L/kg, and area under the curve (AUC) were 797.8, 82.7, 156.4 and 29.1 mg-hr/L after IP, IM, PO and bath, respectively. It was found that those 4 routes of enrofloxacin administration to koi were effective since the concentrations of drug in plasma were greater than minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) of most fish bacterial pathogens. |
หัวเรื่อง:ไม่มีชื่อไทย (ชื่ออังกฤษ : Use of Enrofloxacin in Calcium Beads for Local Infection Therapy in Animals) ผู้เขียน:ดร.ปารียา อุดมกุศลศรี, รองศาสตราจารย์, ดร.สันติ แก้วโมกุล, ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์, Surapong Arthitvong, Taveesak Songserm สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractAntibiotic-loaded beads have been used widely for the treatment of local bacterial infections, but many bacterial pathogens have become resistant to antimicrobial agents. Various antibiotic beads were prepared and studied for their efficacy to treat bacterial infections, using the elution profiles of enrofloxacin from calcium sulfate beads in vitro. The beads were prepared by mixing 1.0 g enrofloxacin and 10.0 g calcium sulfate. The beads were placed in phosphate buffer (pH 7.4) for 20 d and eluted enrofloxacin concentrations were determined by agar diffusion microbioassay. The study showed that calcium sulfate beads released enrofloxacin at rates that were higher than the minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) throughout the 20-day period, with the rate of enrofloxacin release being rapid early in the period. The cumulative eluted enrofloxacin after 20 d was 8.08?0.92% (mean?standard deviation). It was concluded that enrofloxacin-loaded calcium sulfate beads provided a possible treatment for local infections in veterinary medicine. In addition, the calcium beads were simple to prepare, were effective carriers and had antibacterial properties. |

หัวเรื่อง:ไม่มีชื่อไทย (ชื่ออังกฤษ : Histochemical Detection of Glycoconjugates in the Anterior Lingual Salivary Glands of the Domestic Fowl) ผู้เขียน:Surapong Arthitvong, Natanun Makmee, ดร.อภินันท์ สุประเสริฐ, ศาสตราจารย์ สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractGlycoconjugates in secretory epithelium of the anterior lingual salivary glands of chicken have been studied by means of light microscopic histochemical methods. A series of staining procedures were employed including peroxidase - labeled lectin - diaminobenzidine methods and digestion techniques with neuraminidase or ? - amylase. The terminal portion of the anterior lingual gland consisted of mucous and seromucous cells. All the mucous cells in the glands possessed a mixture of glycoconjugates of different nature, but they could be divided into three types, on the basis of the principle type of glycoconjugates involved, namely primarily sulfated, carboxylated and neutral glycoconjugate-containing cells. The first mentioned type of cells was predominant. The presence of sialic acid, ? - D - mannose, ? - D - glucose and ? - D - galactose in these glycoconjugates was confirmed. The seromucous cells found in the anterior lingual gland contained a very small amount of comparable carbohydrates predominantly in the apical cytoplasm. Possible functional activities of the glands were discussed. |
